Tahini chocolate cookies: Soft, chewy & irresistible

The nutty, chocolatey pleasure that inspires

Do you love cookies that are soft and juicy on the inside, but at the same time have an exciting depth of flavor? Then these tahini chocolate cookies are just right for you! The creamy tahini gives the cookies a subtle, nutty twist and harmonizes perfectly with the bitter dark chocolate. The best thing: With a few simple ingredients, you can conjure up an irresistible snack in no time.

Why tahini is so healthy?

Sesame is a real nutrient bomb: rich in calcium, iron, magnesium and vitamins B1, B2 and B6. It supports your bone health, provides valuable antioxidants and is a real superfood in the kitchen.

Tip: Make sure the ingredients are as organic as possible to support sustainable agriculture and get the most out of your tahini.

Gluten-free & vegan – the perfect cookie for everyone

Not only is this recipe incredibly delicious, but it is also naturally gluten-free and vegan. Thanks to the absence of animal products and gluten-containing flour, these cookies are perfect for anyone with special dietary needs. This makes them the ideal snack for any occasion – whether for yourself or to share with family and friends.

INGREDIENTS

  • 120 g tahini (preferably homemade from white sesame)
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp plant drink (e.g. oat, almond or soy drink)
  • 80 g dark chocolate (chopped)
  • Black sesame seeds for sprinkling

PREPARATION

  1. Mix the dough: Mix the tahini, brown sugar, vanilla extract and plant drink in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Add dry ingredients: Stir in baking powder and a pinch of salt. Then fold in the chopped dark chocolate.
  3. Form cookies: Form small balls out of the dough, flatten them slightly, press them into black sesame seeds and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  4. Baking: Bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 10 minutes. The cookies should remain soft on the inside – perfectly soft & chewy!
  5. Allow to cool: After baking, let them cool briefly on the tray so that they don’t break when you touch them. Enjoy them lukewarm or completely cooled down
