The holiday season is just around the corner, and we’re all looking for creative ideas to elevate our festive table. When it comes to culinary delights, cheese is an all-time favorite. Camembert, a creamy French soft cheese, often takes center stage with its buttery texture and mild flavor, making it the perfect base for innovative recipes.

Combined with roasted nuts, aromatic truffle honey, and dried fruits, it creates a true explosion of flavors. INGREDIENTS

  • 5 Camembert wedges (ideal for their triangular shape)
  • 5 dried figs (or dried apricots, as an alternative)
  • 5 tbsp chopped, roasted nuts (e.g., pistachios, macadamias, or walnuts)
  • 10 pretzel sticks (as tree trunks)
  • 2 tbsp truffle honey

PREPARATION

  1. Prepare the nuts: Coarsely chop the roasted nuts. Optionally, mix them with finely chopped dried figs or apricots for added sweetness.
  2. Cut the Camembert: Slice each Camembert wedge in half.
  3. Coat the cheese: Dip the cut sides of the Camembert pieces into the truffle honey, then roll them in the nut-fruit mixture.
  4. Assemble the trees: Carefully insert a pretzel stick into the bottom of each Camembert triangle to form the tree trunk. Ensure the stick is secure.
  5. Optional garnish: Add a touch of freshness with herbs like rosemary or thyme for a festive look.
