Ham noodles

A recipe that is very close to my heart: ham noodles as my grandmother used to make them. This dish always reminds me of my childhood and the cosy lunches with my family.

Ham noodles are a hearty yet delicious meal that can be prepared quickly and are suitable for any occasion. It is very easy to prepare and the result is a real treat for the palate.

You only need a few ingredients for this recipe, but they are perfectly coordinated and offer a harmonious taste experience. The main ingredients are pasta and ham. The ideal accompaniment is a green salad.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 g noodles
  • 200 g ham
  • 1 spring onion or 1 onion
  • Salt & pepper
  • Cheese, if desired

PREPARATION

  1. Prepare pasta according to the package instructions.
  2. Chop the spring onion into small pieces.
  3. Cut the ham into small pieces.
  4. In the meantime, heat some olive oil in a pan and sauté the finely chopped spring onion.
  5. Add the ham and cook briefly.
  6. Add the strained pasta to the ham and sauté for 2 minutes, season with salt and pepper.
  7. If you are a cheese lover, add grated cheese when serving. We usually eat our ham noodles without cheese, but with a crisp fresh green salad.
