The use of puff pastry in cooking has a long history and can be traced back to ancient Egypt. Today, this delicate and airy pastry enjoys worldwide popularity and is known for its versatility in sweet and savoury dishes.

But the real highlight of this recipe is the olive tapenade. Black olives are not only incredibly delicious, but they also have a fascinating history. Olives were cultivated in the Mediterranean over 8,000 years ago, and they have played an important role in Mediterranean cuisine ever since. In addition to their delicate flavour, black olives are rich in monounsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation in the body and lower the risk of heart disease.

I take you on my culinary journey. Experience the perfect combination of crispy puff pastry and the intense variety of flavours of the olive tapenade. Whether as a delicious appetiser, finger food at parties or simply to enjoy between meals – these puff pastry palmiers with olive tapenade are guaranteed to seduce all the senses and become an unforgettable taste experience.
