Refreshing treat for coffee lovers: Caramel iced coffee

A refreshing caramel iced coffee is the perfect choice for hot summer days. The combination of aromatic espresso, creamy oat drink and homemade caramel gives the drink a balanced taste and pleasant sweetness.

This recipe is ideal for coffee lovers who want to avoid animal milk or simply try out new flavors. What’s more, preparing this caramel iced coffee is surprisingly easy and requires just a few ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for 10 portions:

  • 170 g sugar
  • 150 ml water
  • 10 g vanilla powder
  • 200 ml cold, strong espresso
  • 1.6 l cold JÖRĐ oat drink
  • 40 ice cubes

PREPARATION

  1. Melt the sugar in a thick-bottomed saucepan over a medium heat until golden brown.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and add the water and vanilla powder.
  3. Place the pan back on the heat and stir until the sugar has completely dissolved and the mixture is a thin caramel.
  4. Add the coffee and leave the mixture to cool.
  5. Mix the caramel with the frothed oat drink and serve the iced coffee in glasses with ice cubes.
